Italian wood-furniture supply chain achieves resilient growth and €52.2 billion turnover in 2025

Wed 4 Feb 2026 – In 2025, Italy’s wood-furniture supply chain demonstrated resilience despite a challenging economic environment, reaching a production turnover of €52.2 billion, up 1.3% from 2024. Domestic demand, particularly in the non-residential sector, drove growth, while exports remained stable at €19.3 billion, accounting for 37% of total turnover.

Key markets varied, with Germany showing recovery, the United States affected by tariffs, and the UK, Netherlands, Spain, and UAE contributing positively. Sector highlights included the furnishing macrosystem at €27.7 billion, the wood macrosystem at €24.5 billion, kitchens at €3 billion, and bathroom furniture at €4.3 billion.
