Job Title: Entry-Level Woodshop Technician
RESUME REQUIRED
Job Description:
We are looking for a motivated individual to join our woodshop team as an entry-level technician. This position primarily involves operating various woodworking tools and equipment, including table saws, miter saws, hand routers, nail guns, and potentially shapers and CNC routers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for woodworking and a desire to learn and grow within the field.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain table saws, ensuring accuracy and safety in all cutting tasks.
- Utilize miter saws to accurately cut wood pieces to specified measurements and angles.
- Use hand routers to shape and finish wood pieces according to design specifications.
- Safely operate nail guns to assemble wood components, following established procedures.
- Assist in the setup and operation of shapers, if applicable, to create custom profiles and designs.
- Familiarity with CNC routers is a plus, but not required. Willingness to learn CNC operation if necessary.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized workspace, including regular tool maintenance and cleaning.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Basic understanding of woodworking principles and techniques.
- Experience operating woodworking tools such as table saws, miter saws, hand routers, and nail guns preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and take direction from supervisors.
- Willingness to learn new skills and techniques in woodworking.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to handle wood materials and operate machinery safely.
