Location: Topeka, KS
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts (occasional overtime)
About the Role
A local production facility is hiring dependable team members for hands-on manufacturing and assembly work. This position is ideal for individuals with experience in shop environments who are comfortable using tools and following fabrication instructions.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and assemble finished products in a woodshop setting
- Operate shop equipment including table saws, miter saws, sanders, and hand tools
- Follow fabrication drawings and production procedures
- Perform basic equipment maintenance and adjustments
- Assist with basic plumbing and electrical tasks as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
- Complete additional shop tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- 1–2+ years of experience in production, fabrication, carpentry, or similar skilled trade
- Proficiency with common woodshop tools and equipment
- Ability to read and follow shop drawings or build plans
- Basic plumbing and/or electrical experience is a major plus
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently
- Positive attitude with high integrity and accountability
Physical Requirements
- Stand for up to 8 hours per shift
- Lift 40 lbs regularly (heavier lifts occasionally)
- Bend, twist, and move throughout the workday
- Comfortable working in a heat controlled facility
