Bronson Middle High carpentry students earn industry certification with 97% pass rate

Bronson Middle High School is celebrating a major milestone in its Career and Technical Education (CTE) program after students in its carpentry classes achieved a 97 percent pass rate on a nationally recognized industry certification exam.

According to a recent post from the school, this marks the first year students in the program took the HBI Building Construction Technology Industry Certification exam, and results exceeded expectations on the first attempt.

School officials credited both the students’ dedication and the leadership of carpentry instructor Brian Myers for the achievement, highlighting the program’s focus on hands-on learning and high standards.

The certification provides students with valuable credentials that can help them pursue careers in construction and skilled trades after graduation.

“This is what CTE success looks like,” the school shared in its announcement, praising the students’ hard work and commitment.

The accomplishment underscores the growing impact of career-focused programs in schools across Levy County, preparing students with real-world skills and opportunities beyond the classroom.
